Hailey Shimrock was born and raised in a small town near Lake Erie, Ohio, where her deep connection to home and nostalgia for her childhood serve as the foundation of her creative work. As a self-proclaimed "memory hoarder," she finds meaning in documenting the scenes and stories that define her.

Hailey is a lifestyle and documentary photographer currently based on Nantucket Island. She has a BFA in Photography and Related Media and a minor in History of Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Her work has been exhibited at the Ohio Civil Rights Commission in Columbus, Ohio, and The Museum at FIT in New York City.
